Muralist - Natural Dyer - PEN & INK ILLUSTRATOR - BLOCK PRINTER
My art comes from close observation of nature, of intricate forms discovered in our ever-changing, ripening, and decaying surroundings. Wild places, family, and home are common motifs, as I am always considering other beings’ homes and our effect on them.

Murals
Here is a recent mural for a resident of Port Townsend of a maple and alder forest scene with a snag, woodpeckers, sapsuckers and flickers.
Dyeing and PIGMENT
I grow natural dyes from seed and create colorful textiles with the pigments produced.
A spectrum of colors! All these bandanas are hand-dyed with organically grown plants and insects. Dyes I grew: madder root, weld, indigo, black hollyhock, Mexican tarragon, onion skins, marigolds, cosmos, black walnut. Dyes I sourced from sustainable organic farms: cutch, avocado pits, cochineal, and indigo.
